Humble beginnings

Here are a couple of "before" pics of Ella's room-to-be. It is now my office, and yes, that is my Bears paraphanalia. Pretty much the only things that are not changing are the carpet and the ceiling fan, which came with the house. The hardest part for me -- finding a new home for my dissertation materials which are embarrassingly strewn all over my monster of a desk.

The plan: have most of the transformation complete by January 2. We'll see what reality holds. Feel free to place bets amongst yourselves as to what will really happen. Between Christmas, a getaway with Hope friends and my fatigue, that may be a lofty goal. Scott seems determined to get the place ready for his little girl, though. He started by enlisting Ty to help with moving much of the larger furniture last night, so we may pull it off!
