This past weekend was a lot of fun. We got to spend time with my whole family as well as Amy's whole family. Abby and Ella had SO much fun chasing each other around and accomplishing a lot of firsts, including their first "pillow fight" as they wrestled over Uncle Josh's pillow. For Abby, it was the first time to walk on the grass (not a fan), walk in sand (didn't like that much, either), first time to dress up, and the first time her Mommy let her eat something sugary -- the cake (much better!).
For Ella, it was her first bubble bath and her first pretend phone conversation (hillarious!). She also began to assert herself as a fashion diva. She pranced around in her new outfits, posing coyly to accept compliments. When she likes clothes, she says, "Oooooh!" and touches them. She hugs her shoes. Poor Abby got new shoes for her birthday and Ella promptly eyed them and was trying to put them on as soon as she could get her little hands on them. She, apparently, is pretty hot stuff. I am scared.
In one weekend, we had a party, went to the zoo and the park and attended church for Abby's dedication. It was so neat to see the girls enjoy each other so much! Their enjoyment of each other mostly consisted of running past each other laughing like maniacs, though, so there aren't many pictures of the two of them together.

Sharing a quiet moment in the back yard.

"Who, me, a diva?"

Cuddling with Uncle Andy.

Ella accessorised this outfit herself... choosing the orange and blue beads over the pink and purple ones which would have, like, totally clashed.

Goodbye hug.

This "conversation" went on for a while... the talking, casually flipping through the book, pausing to shake her head at whomever she was talking to. It was hillarious. I guess the 5 hour drive home did something to her.

Cousins are the best!
Do you think she looks like me???? I tend to think so!
Kimmy,
There is something about her eyes sometimes that looks like you. Jenny Cwiek thinks she looks a bit like you, too. She certainly has your love for people and life in general!
