One more week! We are full speed ahead with the c-section on next Wednesday afternoon. "Just for fun", my OB checked my status this morning and I am not dilated at all and 50% effaced. This is normal, but Ella is still up to her old tricks of going everywhere but head down. Today, she was doing her best to impress the staff at the OB's office by smushing up waaaaay over between my right hip and rib. Not comfy for me, but it really is her favorite place to be. Now she is back in the middle, stretching out in all directions.
So, the plans are made, the house will be getting quite clean after my last day of work today (YEAH!), and the biggest goal of all -- an initial draft of Chapter Five is to go to my dissertation Chair on Monday morning. Then and only then will I allow myself the distinct luxury of sitting in Ella's room and daydreaming about my little Peanut's emergence into this world that so anxiously awaits her.
