Zzzzzzz

Ella seems to have collected herself a cold. She woke up sick on Sunday morning, and really isn't close to being better. It really is not that big of a deal, except that she has a lot of nasal congestion and therefore cannot sleep well. (The little sucky bulb thing is not helping this time) Sunday night, she cried several times, but managed to sleep almost until her usual 7:45-ish time. Sweet. Monday night, she slept more consistently, but was up at 4:00 yesterday morning and only took 2 short naps all day, while we were in the car. Not cool. Last night was a little better -- up at 6:00 -- and she is now asleep in her swing. What prompted me to blog about this? She is snoring like a champ in there. It is so cute. She sounds like an old man.

BTW, she has shared her cold with Scott and I, so we are all tired, cranky and icky. We're really hoping to be on the mend by Friday so we can go to Chicago as planned. AND, we are praying for NO ear infection, which leads us not only to Ella's most dreaded place -- the examination room at Royal Oak Peds -- but to an ENT specialist to discuss tubes. Oh, the drama that will ensue if that happens. Wish us luck!
