The easy answer is that I want to avoid an unplanned/emergency c-section. Whichever path leads me away from that is the one I want to take. The problem is, of course, that there are many variables that need to be considered and most of them cannot be predicted. So as time goes on, I am trying to weigh the options continually, keeping in mind the "rules" of a VBAC which are, roughly, no induction, little if any pitocin, no distress for either me or Benjamin.
So since Benjamin is predicted to be large, I have scheduled a c-section for a few days before the due date. Should I go into labor before that, I will weigh the options and proceed with a VBAC if possible.
