Ella had her first cereal today and it was a total body experience for her. We started with the watered-down rice cereal. I started by dipping the spoon in just to give her the idea of what was happening and she got a huge smile on her face as if t

o say, "It's about time!" By the first actual "bite", she was grabbing my hand in both of hers, trying to wrap her legs around my arm, shoving the spoon in her mouth and licking every last drop of cereal off of the spoon. It was hillarious. She was frantic for more and it was difficult for me to stop feeding her at the recommended 2-3 bites because she was so enthusiastic and it was so much fun. She may give cousin Nolan a run for his money with her love for food.
Here are some other pictures that I took today.
Need...more... food!!
She is very proud to be such a big girl.
Still loves the toes above all else.
Beautiful girl.

I absolutely love the picture of her sitting on the couch with that giant smile. She is sooo cute, Jen!
At what sad age to we stop expressing our joy with our whole body (besides sex)? It's truly only something little kids do and it bums me out.
Kelli,
It truly is wonderful to see Ella's full joy in discovering the world -- all 5 senses at once. We miss so much as adults because we are so preoccupied. We need kids to remind us of that. I saw some of it in the pictures of your boys from the trip.
