This is the day of Ella's first lie. I remember looking at her when she was teeny and perfectly innocent and wondering when she would fall from grace and if I'd find it clearly memorable. Yes, I do.

Just after destroying a chip clip with her bare hands -- right in front of our eyes --

Ella: "That fing just did break itself!".

Scott: "It broke itself, huh?"

Ella: "Yes."

Scott: "Or did you break it, Ella?"

Ella: "Um. Yes."

Scott: "Thank you for telling the truth".

A new era has begun. And yes, at least she fessed up.
