My Kids

Both of our kids are just growing, developing little marvels. You can, of course, get a full weekly update on our little Sprout on the sidebar of my blog here. My OB's website considers week 11... this week, the beginning of the second trimester. YEAH! That makes me feel better about the size of my belly (though it is really just bloated right now) and gives me more hope for the end of morning sickness. The baby has fingernails, eyelids, can swallow and were there an ultrasound strong enough, we could already tell the gender.

Ella continues to amaze me. She has spontaneously named 7 colors, is starting to use three-word sentences and picks up on the funniest things. Today after his jog, she told Scott he needed to shower. And she has been helping me clean the house all morning, "folding" clothes and washing the walls, doors and baseboards. Of course, along with increased verbal skills comes an increased expression of will. Ella is not shy to tell us what she wants and can thankfully better tell us what she needs.
